June20 Names Jason Seed Chief Operating Officer

Seed Will Streamline Sales and Implementation Processes and Scale Team as June20 Continues to Lead Transformation of Retail Industry

HAYWARD, CA—November 9, 2017—June20, the omni-channel SaaS solutions company that protects the retail ecosystem, today announced that Jason Seed has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Seed has a strong background in point-of-sale and interactive kiosks and joins the June20 team following more than 15 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience in startups and growth-stage companies in the U.S. and Australia. In his new role, Seed will oversee day-to-day operations of the company, establish a go-to-market program that will streamline the company’s sales and implementation processes, and work closely with the CEO on growth strategies.

Seed joins June20 from Kounta, Pty Ltd., an Australian cloud-based point-of-sale solutions company, where he served as president and led all international growth and operations of the company. Before that, he served as CEO of Shortcuts Software, one of Australia’s most successful point-of-sale companies.

“We are thrilled to have Jason on the team. As we continue our mission to fundamentally change retail, we will be able to leverage Jason’s many years of experience with startups in the retail and POS space,” said Paul Chapuis, Co-founder and CEO of June20. “Additionally, his strong knowledge of technology, passion for the retail industry, and leadership skills will be assets to us as we manage our accelerated growth and scale our team to keep pace.”

“I was attracted to June20 because the founders’ vision to lead the charge in helping retail evolve, really resonates with me. The very purpose and experience of brick-and-mortar retail is at a tipping point, and June20 is right at the forefront of the evolution,” said Seed. “As a strong agent of change, I felt I could have a big impact at the company and truly be a part of transforming an industry, and what could be more exciting? I look forward to bringing my experience to bear at such an important moment in the company’s history.”

Prior to Kounta, Pty Ltd. and Shortcuts Software, Seed co-founded two startups. He regularly speaks to startup and incubation groups and mentors multiple early-stage startups. He was also the first North American Trade & Investment Commissioner for the State of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, and in 2001 was selected as one of ten entrepreneurs to represent Australia at the APEC conference in China.
